Advancing Heritage Preservation in the Atlantic
APT Atlantic, established as APT Lunenburg in 2005, is an APT Canada Section dedicated to supporting the conservation of historic structures and sites throughout Atlantic Canada. APT Atlantic is co-chaired by Heather Paikoff and Gregory MacNeil.
APT Atlantic’s regional goal is to establish an organizational and logistical framework that supports, promotes, and advances research, training, and technology sharing
focused on conserving historic structures, sites, and objects in Atlantic Canada.
Get Involved
APT Atlantic aims to:
- Develop and promote learning opportunities, such as field sessions, webinars, and workshops, for heritage professionals at all stages of their careers.
- Offer a platform to support activities such as research and development initiatives,
including publishing leading research and engaging in special conservation research
projects. - Encourage the use of both traditional and modern techniques to care for, conserve,
and prolong the lifespan of our region’s historic built environment.
